A private alternative to Locket
Locket made the idea popular: your closest friends, right on your Home Screen. Whisper shares that idea and makes different choices about privacy. No phone number, no ads, end-to-end encryption, and whispers that do not stay.

Where Locket is the better fit
If you want a lasting album of everything your friends sent, a recap video every month, or room for up to twenty friends, Locket is built for that, and it does it well. Whisper is built for the opposite: a handful of people, and moments that do not pile up.
Why people choose Whisper
- You would rather not hand over a phone number. Sign in with Apple or Google, and add friends with a link or a six-digit code.
- You want it to stay between the two of you. Every whisper is encrypted on your phone with keys that never leave it, so our servers only hold a sealed copy.
- You want to hear them, not only see them. A voice note plays on the widget, and so does a video on iOS 26.
- You do not want a history. A whisper can be replayed for a day after it is opened, and then it is gone.
- You do not want to be the product. Whisper earns from an optional subscription, never from ads. Why we built it this way.
