A private widget for the two of you

You pick up your phone and there they are: the coffee they just made, ten seconds of their voice, the view from their train. Whisper puts the person you love on your Home Screen, and keeps it between the two of you.

What it is like

Your partner sends a whisper: a photo, a voice note or a few words. It lands on the Whisper widget on your Home Screen. On iOS 26 it plays right there; on iOS 18 a tap opens it. Once you have opened it, you can replay it for a day, and then it is gone. The widget always holds the latest thing they sent, not an archive to scroll.

There is no feed, nothing to like, and no one else in the room. It feels less like a chat and more like a note left on the fridge.

When you are far apart

Time zones turn a conversation into a queue. A whisper does not need an answer: it waits on the widget until they look, for up to seven days, and up to ten can wait at a time. When the distance is long, seeing their face or hearing their voice the moment you unlock your phone is the whole point.

Only the two of you

Not only for couples

Whisper is for the few people you are closest to: a partner, a best friend, family far away. You can add up to four friends, or twelve with Whisper Unlimited, and give each one their own widget or see them all on one.

How to start

  1. Both of you download Whisper. It is for iPhone, iOS 18 or later.

  2. One of you shares the invite link or six-digit code. When the other uses it, you approve the request, so nobody joins without you.

  3. Put the widget on your Home Screen: touch and hold an empty spot, tap Edit, then Add Widget, choose Whisper and pick each other.

What it costs

Whisper is free. Whisper Unlimited is an optional subscription that adds video whispers, longer voice notes and room for more friends, and it starts with a 7-day free trial.

Put each other on your Home Screens. It is free to start.
